Abia

Abia is one of the states of Nigeria. It is situated in the south of the country and neighboring states with aqua Ibom, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Imo and Rivers. Its capital is Umuahia. It was created in 1991. It is inhabited mostly by members of the people of Ibo. Favorable climate and good soil can develop jamsu crop, maize, potatoes, rice, nerkowca, banana and ordinary kasawy. In the area of the state are also rich deposits of crude oil. In the area of the state have established universities: Federal University of Agriculture, Abia State University (the best state university in the country) and Abia State Polytechnic.
